ADDING USERS,SETTING PERMISSIONS

Aim :

            To turn simple file sharing on  or off in windows NT.

            To share folders with other user on your network

            To set , view , change or remove file and folder permission

Procedure :

            Double click may computer on the desktop on the tools menu ,click folder options.

            Click the view tab and then selected the use simple the sharing.

            Open my document in window explorer.

            Click start, point all programs pont to access ories,

            Click share this folder in the folder tasks.

            Spcify the user limit maximum allowed or allow this number of users .window NT permits a maximum at 10 concurrent networkm connections.

            Click OK to create the share folder.

            Open window explorer and then locate the file

            To change or remove permission from an existing groups or user.

            To remove the group or user from the group or user name box ,click remove.

            Click the performance and maintenance selected administrative tools.

            Select computer management selected local user and groups

            Select the properties.

            User name properties window  apper on the screen.

Result :

            Thus the turn simple file sharing on or off in window NT share folder with other user on your network,to sert ,view ,change or remove file and folder permission are verified
